Weighing just 106 lbs, this portable outboard features a 25-inch extra-long shaft and electric start, making it ideal for applications where additional propeller depth and improved propulsion are required.

The Command Thrust system includes a larger gearcase, oversized anti-ventilation plate, and a high-thrust 4-blade aluminum propeller, delivering significantly more push and control in rough or turbulent water conditions. The taller gearcase positions the propeller deeper below the water surface, ensuring more efficient propulsion and reduced cavitation.

This makes the Mercury 9.9HP Command Thrust an excellent choice for pontoon boats, sailboats, workboats, larger jon boats, and displacement hulls that require additional torque and thrust.

The engine also features Mercury’s multi-function tiller handle, which allows easy one-handed control of steering, throttle, throttle tension, gear shifting, and engine stopping.
